In 2016 #MambaDay was created and since, every year Nike has released various basketball silhouettes paying homage to Kobe Bryant. On March 9th 2018 Demar Derozan debuted the Nike Zoom Kobe 1 Protro “Mamba Day”

“4.13.18” on the right heel representa #MambaDay as Kobe’s last game was played on April 13th 2016 against the Utah Jazz where he 60 scored points and the stripes on the left heel represents the stitches to Kobe Achilles after his injury which was also on April 13th 2016.
The “XX” on each lace holder represent the 20 years of service Kobe provided to the Purple & Gold, LA Lakers, and the custom insole represents the Mamba #24 approaching the basketball court for one last final battle.
