Nike Bring Back The Strap On The KD14 – Official Image

Last seen back in 2014 on the KD7, Nike Basketball bring back the strap for the latest addition to Kevin Durant’s signature sneaker series the KD 14. “It’s been a while since we incorporated the strap, which excites me,” says Durant.

The KD12 introduced the full-length Zoom Air Strobel which has been incorporated in every signature design since providing responsiveness directly underfoot. “My other favorite part about the shoe is the cushioning, which helps me feel low to the ground and still helps give me some of that energy back” says Durant.

The design is rich with Nike heritage as the one-piece midfoot strap was inspired by the Presto along with with the elongated Swoosh branding taking design cues from the original Bruin model. Look forward to some unique designs covering topics like art, music and more as the engineered mesh upper allows for unique layering as seen in the official images.

Take a closer look below at the Nike KD 14, arriving globally at select Nike retailers from April 14th.
