Kith X Nike “Long Live The King”

Kith has been a long time favourite boutique of ours located in New York. Founder Ronnie Fieg has seen his brand grow from strength to strength since its inception in 2011 and has already cemented himself as on of the most influential figures in sneaker culture history.

He is one of the most prolific sneaker designers/collaborators of all time with an extensive CV featuring brands such as; Monclear, Colette, Bape, Columbia, Timberland, Asics, Coca-Cola, Diadora, Adidas, Puma (a personal favourite) and many more. This year he collaborated with Nike for the first time on the Air Maestro II and Air Pippen I models and now has teamed up with Lebron James for the “Long Live The King” collection.

This collaboration has been in the making since 2016 where Ronnie Fieg wrote to Lebron James;

To commemorate the release of his self directed mini-documentary “Long Live The King,” 40 exclusive on-court editions of the Lebron XV were gifted to the powerhouse Benjamin N. Cardozo High School on  15/12/17.

An insert from Ronnie Fiegs IG Post announcing the “Long Live King” documentary.

“After a year in the making, I’m proud to present the first film I consecutively produced. “Long Live the King” is a mini-documentary by Kith in collaboration with Nike and produced by Matte Films that examines the life of LeBron James. My goal for this project with Nike has always been to highlight both sides of LeBron – the person and the player. This concept evolved into a documentary, which features pivotal figures throughout LeBron’s life, as well as the King himself.”
