TIP OFF – Air Jordan 1 Satin Shattered Backboard
2015 saw the release of what is considered to be one of the greatest colourways of the Air Jordan 1 model the “Shattered Backboard” colourway. Taking inspiration from a charity game played by Michael Jordan back in 1885 in Italy where he recorded 30 points, 2 in which involved shattering the backboard.
This year Jordan Brand has released several pairs of Air Jordan 1 model; the Bred/Gold toe, Off White and Game Royal to name a few. Both the Bred & Royal colourways have previously released in satin and joining the release party is the Air Jordan 1 Satin Shattered Backboard women’s exclusive. Utilising the same colour blocking and tumbled sail leather on the mid panel found on the original pair, some key features have been changed. Satin dresses the toe box, heel and ankle collar whilst the biggest change comes in the form of the embroidered swoosh and orange translucent sole.
