Zion Williamson is a modern day marvel, further cementing the transition to position less basketball where the athletes are no longer defined by one position. “From the time he was in high school, Zion keeps you right on the edge of your seat,” says Howard “H” White, VP, Jordan Brand Affairs.

The number 1 pick of the 2019 NBA draft was picked up by Jordan Brand joining the signature athlete roster including the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Chris Paul and Russell Westbrook and joins the young core consisting of Jayson Tatum and Luka Dončić.

This week the Jordan Zion 1 was officially unveiled, designed for the transcendent athletic possibility of the power forward’s game. The construction of the shoes tooling consists of a mixed material featuring a two-loop internal strap for optimal containment. Inspired by superhero armour, the shoe features a flexible articulated tongue with cushioning positioned in specific places to relive pressure from the laces. A full-length Air strobel unit is paired with a bottom loaded Zoom Air unit to form a new cushioning set up providing Williamson with extra stability to perform those explosiveness moves.
